Honey

Honey is pure, natural, and varied tastes and all the health benefits it provides. It is a good substitute for sugar in our drinks and food. Honey can also used to apply on wound as an antiseptic because honey is a pure liquid. Pouring honey over a wound to prevent dirt from getting in the wound until you treated the wound properly.

Honey is considered a source of energy and power. Honey also contains many nutrients and minerals that the body needs during extreme conditions, therefore Athletes use honey in their drinks before and after an event.

Besides, honey can be used to apply on skin. Honey can absorb and retain moisture which will make it an ideal ingredient in many cosmetics because honey helps in keeping the skin hydrated and fresh. Honey also can mix with milk and applied on the face to keep the skin looking smooth and young. One advantage to using honey as a natural skin care ingredient is for the treatment of acne. Honey absorbs impurities from the pores in the skin, making it an ideal cleansing agent. Honey been used for hair care, skin care, hand lotions, facial masks, moisturizers, wound care, etc. Various advantages of honey.

By the way, ADULTS SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT HONEY SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO A CHILD LESS THAN 12 MONTHS OLD. In 1976, a neuroparalytic disease named Infant Botulism was first described which affected children less than one year old. Infant botulism is caused by a bacterium Clostridium botulinum which contain spores and may be harmful to the undeveloped immune systems of infanrs and may causes food poisoning in the infant’s intestines. Therefore, the old practice of dipping pacifiers into honey to soothe crying babies should be aborted.
